Police arrested three youth for selling ganja at Kittampalayam in Coimbatore and seized 2.3 kg of ganja and two-wheelers from them.
Coimbatore: The Annur police received information that ganja was being sold targeting youth in Kittampalayam area near Annur in Coimbatore.
Following this, a police team led by Annur police inspector Rajadhurai and sub-inspector Udaychand conducted a vehicle checking in Kittampalayam area.
At that time, three youth on two two-wheelers were stopped and interrogated. It appears that they had spoken contradictorily when questioned. On investigating them further, the police found that they had around 2.3 kg of ganja in their possession.
The three have been identified as Deepak Kumar (20), Santhosh (24) and Sathish Kumar (32), all residents of Vagarampalayam. It was revealed that the trio were involved in the sale of ganja targeting college students and youth of the area. The police arrested the trio and seized ganja and two two-wheelers, and produced the trio in court and sent them to jail.
