Coimbatore: Three school girls were seriously injured after they were hit by an auto-rickshaw near Thudiyalur in Coimbatore.

An auto-rickshaw was speeding near Thudiyalur police station near Coimbatore. The auto suddenly hit three people, including a school girl, who was passing by. All three of them were thrown into a nearby drain.

They were seriously injured. Along with the auto, the driver also fell into the drain. Shocked by this, the people of the area rushed to the drain and got into the drain and rescued the four of them.

The police, who came to know about the incident, rushed to the spot and rescued the three seriously injured persons and sent them to the Coimbatore Government Hospital in a 108 ambulance.The auto driver was picked up by the police and questioned. The driver of the auto was Mohanraj of Thoppampatti. It was learnt that he had bought an old auto and was driving the auto under the influence of alcohol and was involved in an accident.

So the police tried to conduct a raid using the device to ensure that he was under the influence of alcohol. He refused to cooperate and got into an argument. However, in the end, the police conducted an alcohol test on Mohanraj and have registered a case against Mohanraj and are investigating the case.
