'A separate Board should be set up to manage the property of Hindu temples:' Hindu Munnani State President, Kadeswara Subramaniam, in Tirupur

He also demanded that the Christian and Muslim places of worship should also be nationalised just as Hindu temples have been nationalised.

Tirupur: The Hindu Munnani State President, Kadeswara Subramaniam in Tirupur has stated that a separate board should be set up to manage the property of Hindu temples.

On behalf of the Hindu Munnani, a campaign is being undertaken to restore the rights of the Hindus. Accordingly, the campaign tour led by State President Kadeswara Subramaniam started from Tiruchendur on June 28.

Following this, the campaign tour arrived at Tirupur on Thursday after visiting various districts.

Speaking to the media in Tirupur, the Hindu Munnani State President said, "The campaign for the rights of Hindus started in Tiruchendur on June 28. Now, on the 17th day of the campaign, we have reached Tirupur. A public meeting on this campaign is being held here. Ever since the campaign started, there has been an overwhelming response in all the districts of the State. People have also been petitioning on various issues faced by Hindus. The rights of Hindu temples should be restored.

The Government takes over the proceeds from the properties of Hindu temples. But Christian and Muslim places of worship manage their own income through their own organizations. Therefore, a separate Board should be set up to manage the property of Hindu temples, otherwise, the temples of Christians and Muslims should also be nationalised just as Hindu temples have been nationalised."

The Hindu Munnani State President, Kadeswara Subramaniam said, "Hindu students do not get the scholarships made available for Christian and Muslim students in schools. Scholarships of Hindu students in Government schools are being taken away. In Tamil Nadu, the properties of Hindu temples have been encroached upon. The Tamil Nadu government should take quick action to restore them.

We have a list of the temples in which properties have been encroached upon and we are ready to hand it over to the Minister of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments. Therefore, the Government should immediately restore the encroached properties of Hindu temples. They should also conduct a proper investigation into the preparation of fake passports and arrest the culprits immediately."

"The campaign to restore the rights of Hindus faced various difficulties and hurdles in the campaign. However, the journey will be completed successfully. The Court has ordered the closure of a mosque in 15, Velampalayam area of Tirupur which was functioning without permission. But Government officials have delayed its implementation.

In the incident in Tirupur, the Police Department and the Tirupur South MLA have acted in favour of the Muslims and appropriate action should be taken against them," demanded Kadeswara Subramaniam.
