Coimbatore: The Hindhustan Makkal Seva has sent a memorandum to the State and Central Governments through the Coimbatore District Collectorate, seeking the arrest of documentary filmmaker Leena Manimekalai.

The Hindusthan Makkal Seva Movement (HMS) complained to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and the Tamil Nadu Secretariat through the Coimbatore District Collector G S Sameeran, demanding the arrest of Madurai-based documentary filmmaker Leena Manimekalai, who has made a documentary film called 'Kaali' with its poster depicting a woman dressed as the Hindu goddess Kali and smoking a cigarette.

Lotus Manikandan, the leader of the movement, submitted the memorandum to the Coimbatore District Collector.
