Coimbatore has to prove to be ‘Thalapathy’ MK Stalin steel fortress - Minister Senthil Balaji appeals to DMK members

Coimbatore: The DMK working committee meeting was held at Suguna Auditorium in Kalapatti area of Coimbatore under the leadership of Minister of Electricity of Tamil Nadu Senthil Balaji.

Several phases of work were undertaken to promote industrial development in Coimbatore district. It was decided that tens of thousands of people should participate and give a grand welcome to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, who has been continuously carrying out various developmental works to make Coimbatore district a self-sufficient district.



Speaking at the meeting, Minister Senthil Balaji said, "The Chief Minister, who will be participating in the programmes to be held in Coimbatore from 14th to 16th, should be accorded a warm welcome along the way," he said.

"The DMK has won a landslide victory of 96 out of 100 wards in Coimbatorein the just concluded local body elections and our next target should be the upcoming Lok Sabha elections," he said.

He said that our leader is governing as the best chief minister in India. He said that his rule should be given to the whole of India and he should be a decisive force to that extent.



"A few people are holding meetings in Coimbatore and Pollachi and trying to create an illusion," he said, adding that Coimbatore was the stronghold of Kalaignar. Now it has to be proved that it is the Thalapathy’s steel fortress," he said.

We have to work for a grand victory in the Parliamentary elections," he said. It should ensure that more than 50,000 dissidents join the party, he said, adding that the chief minister should be welcomed to the extent that the chief minister launched the campaign in Coimbatore as the foundation for the Lok Sabha elections.



He said Coimbatore has a special place in the heart of the chief minister and he has directed them to interact directly with the entrepreneurs for three hours and fulfil their demands.

We have to lay the foundation for winning the Coimbatore and Pollachi parliamentary constituencies by a large margin of votes. Some people are making some comments. Chief Minister is a Mountain. Some people think that a cow will clash with a mountain”, he said.
