Coimbatore Commissioner M. Prathap ordered the concerned officers to repair the blockage of the sewerage canal near Railway Bridge, Avarampalayam under Ward No. 29 and remove the encroachments in the area immediately.
Coimbatore: Health Inspector's office examined the attendance records of the sanitation workers from Coimbatore Corporation North Zone Ward No. 29 and 30 Rayappa Layout and he insisted the sanitary workers wear masks and gloves to engage in the work.

Additionally, Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M. Prathap instructed the sanitary workers to consistently create awareness among the public to segregate garbage in all the 100 wards of the corporation.

Following this, he appreciated the cleaning staff of the Corporation at Ganesh Lay-Out, First Road, near Corporation Primary School, Ganapathy, who were engaged in the work of sorting and collecting biodegradable garbage and non-biodegradable garbage and continue these works.
He directed the drinking water supply engineers to reduce the duration of drinking water supply in the area and increase the amount of drinking water supply.
