Barbed wire stone falls on three students in Tirupur injuring them

The Tirupur Corporation Primary School's Headmaster and teachers immediately rushed the injured girls to the Tirupur Government Hospital for treatment.


Tirupur: The stone around which a barbed-wire fence was erected at a community hall near the Tirupur Corporation Primary School in the Vijayapuram area near Nallur in Tirupur, fell on three students studying in Class 4, injuring them.



The Tirupur Corporation Primary School has about 600 students studying from Classes 1 to 5. Due to lack of adequate classroom facilities, teachers taught the students of Classes 3 and 4 in the community hall near the school. On Thursday morning, teachers brought the students of Class 4 to the community hall. When the students were walking in a line, one of the student's uniforms got caught in a wire fence in front of the community hall. Unaware, the student tried to tug free and walk fast but suddenly the stone of the wire fence fell down. Three students , Jebarani (9), Santhosh (9) and Kavimalar (9) studying in Class 4 sustained minor injuries on their legs.



The school's Headmaster and teachers rushed the injured girls to the Tirupur Government Hospital for treatment where they are reported to be recovering now.
