BJP workers go on hunger strike in Avinashi to protest against DMK Govt.

Over 200 BJP workers staged the hunger strike in front of the New Bus Stand in Avinashi against the DMK Government.


Tirupur: Over 200 BJP cadres from Tirupur North district are staging a symbolic hunger strike in front of the Avinashi New Bus Stand in Tirupur district. They alleged that the DMK government is running an anti-people government and pressed for various demands like curbing the hike in petrol and diesel prices.



They demanded that proper law and order needs to be maintained, lock-up deaths have to be prevented, preventing sand mining and fulfilling the DMK election promise of granting Rs. 1,000 per month to women, as well as fulfilling all the promises made during the elections.
