The Traffic Division of Coimbatore City Police has put up sign boards across the city stating that if two-wheeler riders do not wear helmets and those travelling in cars do not wear seat belts, action will be taken as per the law.
Coimbatore: The Traffic Division of Coimbatore City Police has been stepping up efforts to prevent and reduce the number of accidents in Coimbatore city.
Various awareness programmes are also being conducted on behalf of the District administration and the Corporation.

The Traffic Division of the Coimbatore City Police has put up signboards across Coimbatore, especially at petrol station stating that if two-wheeler riders do not wear helmets and those travelling in cars do not wear seat belts, they will be monitored through CCTVs and due action will be taken, as per the law.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), N Mathivanan had earlier stated that steps are being taken to implement strict action against traffic violations.
