The firm will provide a certification course for the American Tax Preparation Services for the candidates aspiring to begin international tax-related careers.
Coimbatore: GKM Global Services Private Limited, an India-based Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) firm specializing in American Taxation announced its academic collaboration with Happy Valley Business School, Coimbatore on Thursday.
GKM and Happy Valley have inked an MoU through which the firm will provide a certification course for the American Tax Preparation Services for the candidates aspiring to begin international tax-related careers. The MoU was signed by the Founder of GKM G Karthikeyan and Chairman of Happy Valley B-School, Dr. Kanagaraj.
The certification course is designed to impart knowledge in the areas of tax preparation for the American taxpayers, both individuals and business entities. The association between the two entities is expected to yield requisite synergy to build capabilities in India in the niche KPO area of American tax preparation from India.
Sharing his thoughts about this joint association, G Karthikeyan said, "GKM is specializing in tax preparation of America and India for the past two decades with offices in India and USA. Happy Valley is one of Coimbatore's premier Business Schools, since it is a stand-alone B-School. I am very confident that they will be the right partner for us in our mission to empower young talents and understand our vision for them. I am very positive that this association will benefit the aspiring candidates in the international tax arena."
G Karthikeyan added that when students get trained in this course, they stand a better chance of getting placed in companies quickly since the talent requirement for American Taxation from the US is increasing every year. Talking about the course, G Karthikeyan said, "The course duration is three months. Once the students successfully complete their course, they can get placement opportunities immediately from GKM or companies working in similar domain across India."
"Happy Valley has a very good academic relationship with GKM, and the company has trained over 100 students of our college already in the past in the 'Taxation' field, and they have got placed in reputed organizations in addition to placements in GKM," stated Dr Kanakaraj.
"As the need for professionals specializing in US Taxation Process is growing, we decided that a large number of students from our institution should get trained from GKM in this field and achieve a higher level of success, and hence we have signed an MoU with them," he added.
