More than 3 hours of non-stop rain in Pollachi near Coimbatore

While it has been a welcome relief for the public, traders have expressed concern that normal life has been affected and business is sluggish as Pollachi has been receiving good rainfall for more than 3-hours continuously due to the atmospheric condition.


Coimbatore: In Tamil Nadu, several districts including Coimbatore and Tirupur have been receiving intermittent rains for the past few days due to the atmospheric conditions.

In the last few days, the areas around Pollachi, Aliyar, Valparai and Anaimalai in the Western Ghats region have been experiencing intermittent rains.



In this situation, the sky was cloudy since this morning. It has been raining continuously since 11 am. Due to this, motorists were only able to drive their vehicles while switching on the headlights on the roads. Normalcy has been affected as people are unable to come out of their homes. Motorists are also facing difficulties due to waterlogging on potholed roads.



Due to the rain that has been lashing the last three hours, there will be heavy rush of people. Shopping malls such as Bazaar Road, Market Road, Coimbatore Road, etc., are without public attendance. Traders have expressed concern that business is sluggish. However, people in Pollachi are happy as the weather conditions are cool.
