S.Muthukumar elected as Chairman for The Institute of Indian Foundrymen - Southern Region.

At the 61st Annual Regional Meeting of Indian Foundrymen- Southern Region held here, new office bearers for the year 2022 - 23 were announced.



Coimbatore: New office bearers of the Institute of Indian Foundrymen- Southern Region (IIF - SF) have been announced for the year 2022-2023.

The 61st Annual Regional Meeting of Indian Foundrymen- Southern Region was Hotel at theResidency Towers in Coimbatore. S. Muthukumar has been elected as the Chairman for the year 2022 - 23.

During the event, Former Chief Executive Officer of PSG Institutions and former chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Southern Region, C.R. Swaminathan who passed away last December was remembered.

Sendhil Murugarathinam, Regional Procurement Manager of Caterpillar India Private limited, Chennai deliveredtheguest address. Meanwhile, IIF, Southern Region,Honorary Secretary,D.G.Benakappa delivered the vote of thanks.

IIF set up in 1961 to promote education, training and development of Foundrymen, to serve as a nodal point of reference between customers and suppliers of the Indian foundry industry on a global scale.

Headquartered in Kolkata, IIF SR presently services the entire region through its 8 chapters in Andra, Bengaluru,Belgaum,Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kerala and Shimoga.

Around 1,000 foundries are serviced by IIF SR with a total production of 3.25 million tonnes across all the chapters.
