Coimbatore: The selection for the 444 vacant SI posts in the Tamil Nadu Police is being conducted through the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Personnel Selection Board.
Accordingly, selection for Sub Inspector posts is taking place at four centers in Coimbatore district.
These examination centers have been set up at four places in the suburbs of Coimbatore - Sulur RVS College, Kovilpalayam SNS College, Malumichampatti Hindustan College and Kavundampalayam Kongunadu College.
A total of 6,891 are taking the exams in these centers. Of these, 1,195 were women. English exam in the morning and Tamil writing exam in the afternoon. Applicants are required to bring only an invitation letter, ID card and pen. No other thing isallowed inside with the candidate.
More than a hundred policemen have been deployed on the college campus where the exams are being held.
