Revenue Department investigating cutting of palm trees without permission in Anaimalai and Aliyar

In a privately owned place in Anaimalai, Makkal Shakthi Nagar area, the Revenue Department is investigating the incident in which 40 palm trees were cut down without permission.


Coimbatore: The Revenue Department is investigating a complaint that a palm tree was cut down without permission in Anaimalai and Aliyar.

Revenue officials received a complaint that 40 palm trees had been cut down at a privately owned place in the Makkal Sakthi Nagar area in Anaimalai.

Following this, officials including Anaimalai thasildar Banumathi visited the spot. An investigation is underway into the identity of the landowner who cut down the palm trees without permission.

Similarly, Aliyar allegedly cut down a one palm tree in a Public Works Department premises Revenue officials are also investigating Sathiyan.
