Youth sitting on two-wheeler parked by roadside killed by speeding car in Coimbatore

CCTV footage has emerged of the speeding car crashing into the young man sitting on his two-wheeler by the roadside.


Coimbatore: A youth was killed when he was knocked down from his parked two-wheeler by a speeding car in Coimbatore.

Mani who hails from Alandurai in Coimbatore district runs a clothing store in the area. His son Sabrinathan (21) who studied ITI worked as a delivery person for Flipkart. Sabrinathan who was sitting on his two-wheeler parked near 'Balasubramaniam shop' in Alandurai to deliver a parcel to a customer was knocked down by a speeding car heading towards Siruvani from Coimbatore.



Sabrinathan who suffered grievous injuries to his head, arms and legs was rushed to the Coimbatore Government Hospital by passers-by. Doctors at the hospitalwho examined Sabrinathan declared him brought dead. Sabrinathan's body has been kept at Coimbatore Government Hospital for autopsy.

On being informed of the accident by Sabrinathan's father, Mani, the Alandurai police have registered a case and are interrogating Santosh, a resident of Tirupur district who was driving the car at high speed. Meanwhile, CCTV footage has emerged of the speeding car colliding with Sabrinathan's two-wheeler parked on the roadside.
