The first batch of 80 pilgrims from Coimbatore left to Sharjah for the annual Haj pilgrimage by Air Arabia flight, this Sunday. As more pilgrims are expected to join the pilgrim this year, ticket booking is expected to pick up pace in the upcoming days.
Coimbatore: After being suspended for two years in the wake of COVID-19, the Haj Pilgrimage has resumed this year. Hence, hundreds of pilgrims from Coimbatore are expected to undertake the holy pilgrimage.
Accordingly, the first batch of 80 pilgrims from Coimbatore left to Sharjah for the annual Haj pilgrimage by Air Arabia flight, this Sunday. As more pilgrims are expected to join the pilgrim this year, aviation sources say that ticket booking will pick pace in the upcoming days.
"Every year Haj pilgrims from Coimbatore book tickets as a group. This year, the first group of 80 pilgrims have left to Sharjah from Coimbatore on Air Arabia flight on June 19 (Sunday).
The Air Arabia flight is witnessing full load --which is 215 passengers both while landing to Coimbatore and on return. As Haj Pilgrimage has resumed after two years, we expect more group bookings, in the coming days", said Aviation sources.
