The Coimbatore Central Jail administration announced that all 20 inmates from the Coimbatore Central Jail who wrote the Class 12 Board Exam and 33 inmates who wrote the Class 10 Board Exam had passed.
Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Central Jail administration has announced that all the 53 inmates who wrote the Class 10 and 12 Board Exams have passed. While 20 inmates wrote the Class 12 Board Exam, 33 inmates wrote the Class 10 Board Exam from the Coimbatore Central Jail. Even as the results of the Board Exams were announced on Monday, the prison administration stated that all those who had written the exams from the Coimbatore Central Jail had passed.
In the four education districts namely Coimbatore, Pollachi, SS Kulam, and Perur, 19,827 male students and 19,804 female students totaling 39,636 students from 524 schools wrote the SSLC Board Examinations. Of these students, 17,584 male students and 19,027 female students adding up to a total of 36,661 students passed.
Also, the pass percentage of male students is 88.69 while the female students' pass percentage was 92.38. The overall pass percentage in these districts is 92.38. Coimbatore district was ranked 14th in the SSLC Board Exams held in 2019 but has moved up to 9th place in this year's Board Exams.
