School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyamozhi released the results of the Class 12 Board Exams in Chennai on Monday, with 95.58 percent boys and 98.05 girls clearing the exams.
Coimbatore: The results of the Class 12 Board Exams which were held across Tamil Nadu from May 5 to May 28 across Coimbatore district in 119 examination centers were announced by the School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi.
35,033 students appeared for the Class 12 Board Exam and in addition, 2,047 individual candidates wrote the exams.
Prior to the Class 12 Board Exam, the room where the question papers were kept was guarded by gun-wielding police personnel. The correction process began on June 1 and three centers were selected in Coimbatore and appropriate facilities were set up. Primary Supervisors, Assistant Assessors, and Auditors were appointed at each center according to the number of answer sheets.
The overall pass percentage in the Class 12 exams in the Coimbatore district is 96.91 percent, of which were 95.58 percent of male students and 98.05 of female students. Of the total 33,737 candidates who wrote the exam, 32,695 passed.
Also in Coimbatore district, the overall pass rate of the differently-abled students who had appeared for the Class 12examination is 98.78 percent, of which the visually-impaired pass percentage is 100%, with the speech and hearing impaired pass percentage at 81.48 percent, and the physically-challenged pass percentage being 100 percent.
