Aarukutty said that there have been no factions in the AIADMK. But now the AIADMK is fighting in two factions. OPS and EPS had come to power by accident and therefore the two should step aside and let someone else take charge of the leadership.
Coimbatore:AIADMK ex-MLA from Koundampalayam constituency Aarukutty told at a press conference at his residence in Vilankurichi that it was not right for OPS and EPS to fight.
Former AIADMK MLA Arukutty told a press conference in Coimbatore: -
“I am a servant of the AIADMK. The AIADMK lost in the local body elections. We asked to hold local elections several times while in power but they said that there was a case and refused to hold local government elections. The regime would not have fallen if the local elections had been held.
Now the coordinator and co-coordinator are being interviewed separately. The AIADMK is fighting in two factions and both have come to power by accident.
It is not right for the two to fight now by adding members separately. The AIADMK's one and a half crore members asked them but they had done nothing.
OPS and EPS could not even capture the existing wards in the local elections. In Coimbatore, DMK has won by over 2000 votes in Velumani ward. The AIADMK led by Jayalalithaa is going to turn into a caste party. The AIADMK is in pain.
Both OPS and EPS should step aside and let someone else take over the leadership. The current AIADMK is not the party that existed when Jayalalithaa was in power and we think the AIADMK movement should be better.
Why did they remove Anwar Raja? Was he was fired because he spoke for the party? Would I be fired too if I give this interview? Let them fire me then. Why should we speak badly of Sasikala? She was the one who took you by the hand and identified you as the Chief Minister. During the 4-year AIADMK rule, if we went to the minister’s office, we were not treated with respect. We had to patiently endure through it.
Both of them don’t have support from the AIADMK so somebody else has to take over as the leader. The AIADMK is a party that the time has tested, and the two are no longer likely to work together.
So, please do not make the AIADMK a caste party. AIADMK has become a party of betrayal and has changed from the top to the bottom.

I would be happy if OPS and EPS removed me together. I have decided to step out of politics and I have decided not to join any other party let alone the DMK, despite there being invitations.
Both OPS and EPS are not the people's leaders but district leaders. I’m in the AIADMK but I’m not under the leadership of OPS or EPS. I have expected such a situation to come to the party and now it has come.”
