Enforcement agencies have registered a case against the National Herald under the Money Laundering Act and are investigating party supremo Rahul Gandhi.
Coimbatore:In this, Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi have been summoned by the Enforcement Department and Rahul Gandhi is being investigated. Condemning this, the Coimbatore district Congress party led by state executive chairman Mayura Jayakumar staged a protest.

The protest, which took place in front of the BSNL office near the Coimbatore district collector's office, was attended by more than 50 people carrying banners and chanting slogans condemning the enforcement department and the BJP government.
Mayura Jayakumar told reporters “The National Herald is a Congress-owned newspaper that had been started and run since Nehru's time.
With the newspaper in despair, the congress party had bought it for ₹90 crores and has been running it under one of its affiliate agencies – Young India. This is our problem.
Meanwhile, Subramaniya Swami has registered a case, we will deal with it in court. What business does the enforcement department have with this? Why should the enforcement department call Rahul Gandhi and continue to drag him out? This was clearly done to intimidate the Congress party and for political revenge.

It is unjust to keep summoning Rahul Gandhi for trial. The enforcement department is working with the BJP. The police at the Congress party headquarters are planning to carry out homicidal attacks on Congress party leaders and volunteers.
The BJP is acting in an anarchic manner by suppressing those who disagree with them. It is an act of intimidation towards the up incoming Prime Minister, that I strongly condemn. We refuse to be intimidated by such acts committed by the BJP and RSS. If they don’t stop such acts, the people will not tolerate this.
We would hold various protests and show our extreme opposition to the Modi government and the enforcement department.”
