The CM of Tamil Nadu, M K Stalin awarded the Gold Medal and Certificate for the first place at the State Girl Child Protection Day Awards 2022 to G S Sameeran, the Collector of the Coimbatore District Administration.
Coimbatore: The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M K Stalin awarded medals and certificates to three District Collectors (Coimbatore, Karur and Thanjavur) on behalf of the Department of Social Welfare and Women's Rights at the Chennai General Secretariat for their outstanding work in raising the birth sex ratio of girls.

Accordingly, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu presented the Gold Medal and Certificate for the first place at the State Girl Child Protection Day Awards 2022 to G S Sameeran, the Collector of Coimbatore District for his outstanding efforts to expedite intensive monitoring activities with great efforts to raise the birth sex ratio of girls.

The Thanjavur District Collector, Dinesh Ponraj Oliver was awarded the Silver Medal, while Karur District Collector Prabhu Shankar was awarded the bronze for their efforts in their respective districts. The event was attended by many Government officials including the Minister of Social Welfare and Women's Rights, Geetha Jeevan and the Chief Secretary of the Department Shambhu Kalolikar.
