Coimbatore: In Tirupur, three adjournments of the Indian National Congress election date have led to sit-ins inside the party office.
The Tamil Nadu Congress has announced the holding of by-elections in the Indian National Congress. Elections are being held in the respective districts accordingly.
Elections for the district, municipal and regional posts are to be held at the Indian National Congress party office at Park Road, Tirupur. Of these, 300 are vying for the respective posts.
Meanwhile, the election date was announced to be the 9th of last month. But Gopi, who is currently the district chairman, left the polls on the pretext that he was going abroad and the date of the polls was postponed to August 12.
