Assam state worker injured by bear near Valparai

Assam state worker severely injured by a bear, and is currently receiving treatment at the Valparai Government hospital.


Coimbatore: Wildlife migration of elephants, leopards, tigers, and bears has increased in the vicinity of Valparai in the Coimbatore district.

Workers from the state of Assam are employed at Senkuthuparai, in the Manika estate area near Valparai.

At around 8.50 this morning, more than 10 people were working to spray the tea garden with pesticides when a bear wandering around the area attacked Pudhuvan Oran 29. His leg was bitten by the bear and he was severely injured.



The people in the vicinity took notice and took him to the Valparai Hospital for treatment.

It is noteworthy that a few days ago, a bear attacked an employee from Assam in a similar fashion in Valparai.
