Doctors stated that the baby was in stable condition, and the Singanallur police are investigating the identity of the baby.
Coimbatore: A girl baby who is just a few hours old was abandoned in front of the Neelikonampalayam Gopalaswamy temple, near Singanallur in Coimbatore. The baby was found by passers-by in a yellow cloth and still had its umbilical cord intact.
On hearing the wail of a baby, passers-by rescued the baby and subsequently informed 108 ambulance. Following this, the 108 ambulance personnel rescued the child and sent her to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for immediate first aid. They also informed the Singanallur Police about the child being abandoned.
