Aatral Foundation has revamped over 45 schools in Erode, Tirupur, Trichy, Namakkal, Chennai, Villupuram, Tuticorin, and Chengalpattu districts.
Coimbatore: Aatral Foundation, a non-profit organization working towards improving rural educational infrastructure in Tamil Nadu undertook the task of renovating Government schools and enabling access to quality education for rural students.
The NGO had identified schools that needed revamping and with the support and active participation of local bodies, renovated over 45 schools in Erode, Tirupur, Trichy, Namakkal, Chennai, Villupuram, Tuticorin, and Chengalpattu districts.
The areas being improved through rural education are food and nutrition, basic infrastructure, basic hygiene, career guidance and counselling. All of Aatral Foundation's projects focused on renovating classrooms and mid-day meal centers, as well as replacing damaged roofs, walls and floors, and renovating dilapidated toilets. The noble initiative covered eight districts benefitting over 16,000 students.
