Coimbatore: World Environment Day has grown to be the largest global platform for ecological, natural, and biological outreach and is celebrated by millions of people across the world. World Environment Day is observed on June 5 to raise awareness and highlight the importance of Mother Nature.
To mark the 50th World Environment day, Pricol Limited conducted a mass plantation drive and planted 800 saplings in their respective plant premises on June 6, 2022. Importance of safeguarding our planet was emphasised during the initiative.
The mass plantation drive was inaugurated by Vanitha Mohan, Chairman of Pricol Ltd, Ganesh PM - Chief Executive Officer, Ameer - Director Technology & Quality Systems, Siddharth M - Chief Strategy Officer along with other employees.
“'Only One Earth' is the theme this year with a special focus on 'Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature.' The ideology of the theme is to give eminent attention to the world’s togetherness by creating an atmosphere constructive for peace, harmony, prosperity, and health for the entire mankind for generations.
The theme also emphasizes adopting a lifestyle that could be free from any kind of pollution in order to protect Mother Nature. Small initiatives by people can create a huge impact in the society. On the occasion of World Environment Day 2022, Pricol Limited has taken the opportunity to create awareness and to highlight the importance of Mother Nature with various events such as Tree Plantation, Awareness and Engagement sessions among employees, employee’s families and kids", told the organisers.
