Coimbatore: The new Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Commissioner, M Pratap inspected various amenities, sanitation and construction projects in Ward No. 59, 61 and 83.

He enquired with the hospital nurses about the vaccinations and natal care for pregnant mothers and mothers at the Primary Healthcare Centers.

The CCMC Commissioner also inspected the maintenance records of pregnant women and mothers at the Primary Health Center in Ward No.61, Coimbatore East Zone, Coimbatore.

He discussed with the public about the water and street light facilities at the Pattatharasiyamman Road in the same Ward.

He also equired about the work taken up by Corporation sanitary workers in the office of the Corporation Health Inspector in Ward No.61 and instructed cleaners as well as inspected their safety equipment.

The CCMC Commissioner instructed the Health Inspector to maintain public toilets at the Singanallur Bus Stand in a hygienic manner and make them functional for public use.

He also personally inspected the quality of food items kept in the shops at the Singanallur bus stand and checked if banned plastic products were in use in these places.

The Corporation Commissioner also supervised work being carried out by sanitary workers in Ward No.61 in Coimbatore East Zone, and instructed them on the importance of using gloves and safety equipment provided for them.
