The members stated that the Archbishops of Mettupalayam had met with the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and the then District Collector several times requesting for a cemetery to be built, but no action had been taken thus far.
Coimbatore:The All-Christian Church Pastors Fellowship filed a petition with the Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran requesting a cemetery for the villages under the Mettupalayam Taluk. The petition was presented by the leader Paul Martin.

Commenting on the issue, the members of the All-Christian Pastors Fellowship said that though the Archbishops of Mettupalayam had met with the former Chief Minister and the then District Collector several times requesting for a cemetery to be built, no action had been taken thus far. They added that the lack of a proper cemetery made it difficult to bury the bodies of the dead, and hence requested the District Collector to find a solution for the problem.
