World Environment Day: Ambal Autos plant saplings at the Coimbatore Slum clearance board residential complex

Coimbatore World Environment Day- Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board and Ambal Auto planted saplings at the cottage conversion board residence.


Coimbatore: World Environment Day is observed on June 5 every year. To raise awareness about the need for environmental protection, The Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board, Ambal Autos and Trees Rehabilitation Organization together started planting saplings in the Pullukadu area in Ukkadam, Coimbatore to create a green environment yesterday.



The inaugural function for the said event, was attended by Ambal Auto General Managers Rajesh Jayaraman and Rajeev, the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board Coimbatore Engineer Mahesh Shankar and nature activist Syed.



In the first phase, more than 100 trees were planted to make the housing board area, with more than 2,000 houses, greener. They planted the saplings along with the kids living in the area. Further they also thought the kids about the methods fo maintaining the saplings.



In this program, the children planted various trees including Neem, Beech, Peepal, and vowed to turn the area into a greener space and convert the housing board area into a place comparable to a net private residence.
