A Pledge of Allegiance that was taken on behalf of the People’s Movement for clean Cities at the Victoria Hall Complex, Coimbatore Corporation Head Office was accepted under the leadership of the Mayor, Kalpana Ananthakumar
Coimbatore: The District Collector - GS Sameeran started the process of distributing yellow bags again on behalf of the Coimbatore corporation at the Ukkadam bus stand. He distributed yellow bags, saplings, and awareness leaflets to the public. Subsequently, he inaugurated the Plastic Eradication Vehicle Awareness Rally, emphasizing the use of the Yellow Bags again.

The corporation Mayor Kalpana Ananthakumar presented a garland and flowers with a picture of the late Dr. M. Karunanidhi, the former Chief Minister of Coimbatore, on the occasion of his 99th birthday. Later, she distributed sweets to the public. In addition, the pledge made by the People’s Movement for the Clean Cities on the Victoria Hall campus was accepted.

Following this, Coimbatore Mayor presented sweets to the Corporation Cleaners on the occasion of the 99th Birthday of the Hon'ble Former Chief Minister, Dr. M. Karunanidhi, at the Southern Regional Office.

Later, she inaugurated an awareness rally conducted on behalf of the Nagarangalin Thooimaikkana Makkal organization in the southern region. This rally stretched for about 2 km from the Podanur bridge to the Vellalore garbage dump.

M. Pratap, Commissioner of the Corporation, Deputy Mayor Mr. R. Vetriselvan, Deputy Commissioner M. Shamila, Zonal Committee Chairpeople V. Kathirvell (North) and Meena Loku (Central), Shanthi Murugan (Tasks), VP Mubaseera (Taxation & Finance), Somu (Santosh) (Handicraft), P. Mariselvan (Public Health), Standing Committee Members, Council Members, Zonal Assistant Commissioners, and other Corporation Officers were present at these events.
