Private school bus hits woman, and leaves without stopping. Traffic policeman assaults Swiggy employee who confronted the driver about this
Coimbatore: Moganasundaram hails from the Nilambur area of Coimbatore and works for Swiggy food delivery company. A private school bus, recently knocked down a woman and drove off without checking on her. Witnessing this, offended on the woman’s behalf, he confronted the driver. Following this, he was assaulted by a traffic cop, and for that, he demands justice.
As he puts it, “a private school (National Model) vehicle knocked down a woman at the Avinashi Road Fun Mall signal area. Witnessing this, I overtook and stopped the vehicle to confront the driver. One of the traffic policemen present there said, "This is our job. Who are you to investigate this?" and proceeded to attack me.
Furthermore, the policeman added “do you know who owns that school bus?” following which he proceeded to send the school bus driver away and snatched my cell phone, and let me go a short while after.
When the woman asked about this, the traffic policeman said that he had sent the bus driver away.
The policeman, letting the bus driver who committed a traffic offense go and attacking me, an innocent man was an act of great injustice. It is not fair for authorities to let the offenders go and attack the innocent.”
