M Prathap takes charge as Commissioner of Coimbatore Corporation

The TN Govt. posted M Prathap as the new CCMC Commissioner replacing Raja Gopal Sunkara in a reshuffle of IAS officers.



Coimbatore: M Prathap took charge as the newly-appointed Commissioner of the Coimbatore Corporation on June 2.



Speaking at a press conference later, the new Commissioner of Coimbatore Corporation said, “I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for giving me the opportunity to serve as the Commissioner of Coimbatore Corporation.



Under the guidance of the Minister of Municipal Administration, the Minister of Electricity and the Mayor, appropriate action will be taken to investigate and identify the basic facilities required by the people in all the 100 wards of the Corporation, and to improve and expedite the existing tasks at hand. The Mayor will preside over a public meeting at least once a week. The residents of the Corporation can report their grievances to me at any time.”
