Minister Senthil Balaji assures Residents' Welfare Association officials that the TASMAC store would not be opened in the area.
Coimbatore: The Minister of Electricity, Senthil Balaji has assured the Residents' Welfare Association officials that the TASMAC store will not be opened near the Cheranmanagar area.

It had been decided to open a TASMAC store near Cheranmanagar on Vilankurichi Road. However, with recent steps taken to open the liquor store at the location, the Coimbatore West District DMK Secretary Payya R Krishnan, Coimbatore Corporation 22nd Ward Council Member Kovai Babu along with the 22nd Ward Residents Welfare Associations including Sri Vignesh Nagar, Kumutham Nagar, Teachers Colony, Sakthi Vinayagar Nagar, Sri Shiva Shakti Avenue, Raghavendra Avenue, SR Avenue, JP Avenue, Sri Kanchi Nagar, Cooperative Colony, Cheranmanagar, met Minister Senthil Balaji and submitted a petition demanding that the TASMAC store ought not to be opened in the 22nd Ward.
