Coimbatore: The tragic death of a 6-year-old girl after being bitten by a mysterious insect in Karamadai has caused deep shock among family and neighbours.
Sundaralingam hails from Bharathi Nagar, Gudalur in the Nilgiris district. His daughter Kavishree (6) was a Class 2 student in a Government school in Nilgiris.
Kavishree had been staying at her grandmother's house in Gurusami Estate in the Chinnaputhur area of Karamadai, Coimbatore for the last 10 days due to summer vacation. Kavishree, who was playing as usual, suddenly seems to have suffocated on Monday. The girl's grandmother immediately rushed her to the Karamadai Government Hospital.
However, doctors recommended that the girl be taken to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for further treatment as her condition was critical. The girl was rushed to the Coimbatore Government Hospital but doctors who examined her declared her brought dead.
