Farmers and environmental activists from Pollachi and Coimbatore participated in the campaign and picked up 300 kg of plastic and 500 kg of glass bottles in the Aliyar areas.
Coimbatore: Farmers and environmental activists from Pollachi and Coimbatore participated in the 'Green and Clean Campaign' on May 29 which was organised with the support of the Kottur Municipality, Public Works Department and the Forest Department against the pollution of the Aliyar environment. 300 kg of plastic and 500 kg of glass bottles were picked up from the areas.
The campaign was planned and executed under the guidance of the Kottur Municipality Forest Ranger S Ramasubramanian and Chairman Ramakrishnan.
