India has secured second place in scientific research in the world

According to a research by Nature Index, India is at second place in scientific research. The research report was released yesterday in New Delhi. China tops the list. About five institutions from India are among the top 100 research institutions in the world. Of them the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IISER), Tata institute for Fundamental Research, Indian Science Institute and Indian institute of Technology (IIT) are the ones that have made it to the list of top 100 research institutions in the world.

About 40 research institutions from China, 11 research institutes from Americas, 9 from Britain and 8 institutes from Germany also have made it to this prestigious list. Despite the fact that only a few institutions from India have made it to this list, according to the report India has been given second place for the nature of research that is been conducted in those institutes.
