New Delhi: Audi on Thursday launched the new generation A4 with a 1.4 TSI petrol motor. With it, the German manufacturer is looking to further strengthen its position in the luxury sedan segment - one where direct competitors like Mercedes have made commendable strides.
While the diesel engine is expected to follow, the current petrol engine is impressive and churns out 150Ps of power and 250nm of torque. The car has come a long way since it was first launched in India in 2008. Since, the A4 has seen several upgrades - both mechanical as well as aesthetic. In its latest version, the car comes out lighter than its predecessor - 95kgs to be specific. There are also several highlights on the outside - fresh hexagonal front grille L-shaped headlights with split DRLs and a prominent shoulder crease. Prices for the new petrol A4 start at Rs 38.1 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
On the inside, the A4 will now boast of the Audi Virtual Cockpit and also features an imposing 12.3 inch TFT display, among several other features.
