The bezel-less display seems to be the flavour of the season as numerous smartphone makers are launching handsets boasting edge-to-edge screens. Jumping on the bandwagon is the US-based smartphone brand InFocus.
The company has sent out media invites for an event scheduled on December 19. The invite has an image of a bezel-less smartphone and reads, "witness the unveiling of a smartphone that will transform your display experience!" This clearly indicates that the display is going to be one of the USP of the upcoming smartphone. The specifications of smartphone remain to be unknown as of now.
In September, InFocus had launched two smartphones in India -- InFocus Snap 4 and Turbo 5 Plus - for the budget smartphone category. The handsets were launched at Rs 11,999 and Rs 6,999 respectively, but the InFocus Turbo 5 later received a price cut of Rs 500 and is now selling at Rs 6,499 for the 16GB inbuilt storage variant.
