HTC has just launched its two smartphones, the U11+, and the U11 Life. These are the newest ones in the U series introduced by the Taiwanese tech firm this year. If you haven't noticed, all the smartphones in the series come with a single rear camera. This is surprising as HTC was among the first companies to introduce dual rear camera handsets. It had flagships such as the HTC One M8, HTC One M9+, and others.
But it looks like the smartphone maker is on track to bring dual rear camera smartphones next year.
At the HTC U11+ launch event, the company president Chialin Chang, reportedly confirmed that HTC will launch dual rear camera smartphones in 2018. "We'll definitely be releasing a dual-camera phone next year, but we'll need to figure out how to make this feature stand out," Chang told media executives at the event.
Avoiding going into the details, Chang said that like this year, the company will be launching only five to six smartphones next year as well.
HTC has just unveiled its U11+ and U11 Life smartphone. The HTC U11+ is the first smartphone by the company to come with an edge-to-edge display. The U11 Life falls under the Android One project.
Both the smartphones also come equipped with the Edge Sense support which was introduced with the HTC U11.
The company has priced the HTC U11+ at EUR 799, while the HTC U11 Life comes with a price tag of $349.
Some of the key specifications of the U11+ are 6-inch Quad HD+ display 2.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, 12MP UltraPixel rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera and 3930mAh battery. Measuring 158.5x74.9x8.5mm, the smartphone also comes with HTC BoomSound and HTC USonic earbuds for enhanced audio experience.
