Leaks about OnePlus' alleged upcoming smartphone OnePlus 5T have been circulating over the web for the past few weeks. Some of these leaks claim to have leaked the smartphone's design and specifications. The latest claims to reveal time frame of the alleged smartphone's launch.
According to a couple of tweets from the popular smartphone tipster Evan Blass, a OnePlus smartphone with 18:9 aspect ratio is indeed in works and that that the smartphone may arrive in November this year. In another tweet, a few minutes later, Blass wrote that the handset could launch anytime after November 20.
It is worth adding that OnePlus has not yet confirmed anything about its OnePlus 5T smartphone, including its existence.
The smartphone made its appearance on Benchmarking website AnTuTu recently revealing some of its specifications. It has shown up on Antutu with the code name OnePlus A5010. For those who may not remember, OnePlus 5 carried the code name A5000. Based on the list of specifications, the handset seems to be a minor upgrade over the existing flagship, just like it was the case with OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.
Spotted by Gizchina.it website, the specifications list shows the smartphone running Android 8.0 Oreo. However, the biggest change seen here is the Full HD+ (1080x2160 pixels), which we have seen being used in smartphones with extended displays.
It is worth noting that the alleged teaser image is seen recently also showed the smartphone sporting an 18:9 aspect ratio screen.
Alleged OnePlus 5T's rear camera has been marginally improved. It is seen with dual 20MP rear cameras. OnePlus 5 comes with the 16MP+20MP combination.
Furthermore, the smartphone was seen listed for pre-orders on the Oppomart website along with nearly the same specs and a placeholder price tag of $549 price tag (roughly Rs 35,700).
