Modeled after The Fast and Furious actor’s car
Microsoft has revealed a special Xbox One S created in honor of late Fast and Furious actor Paul Walker. The custom-made console is bright green and blue. It’s modeled after Walker’s first car from The Fast and Furious seen in the film’s opening scene and the first time he and Vin Diesel race. The console is signed by Walker’s friends and cast mates including Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Cody Walker, Paul Walker's brother, and several others.
The console will be raffled off on October 1st at a charity gaming livestream event called Game4Paul. The event is run by Microsoft and Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW), a non-profit group that works in disaster relief that Walker formed. Each raffle ticket costs $20, and proceeds will benefit ROWW. "The team put a lot of thought into this custom console design and we are thrilled to pay homage to Paul’s unforgettable Fast and Furious character,” said Aaron Greenberg, GM of Games Marketing at Xbox in a statement.
Walker was 40 when he died in a car crash in November 2013. A judge later found that Porsche was not responsible for the death of Walker and his friend Roger Rodas, who was driving a Porsche Carrera GT at the time.
