Coimbatore: The school administration election of Sangamam Nursery and Primary School (from Classes 1 to 5) and Sangamam Matriculation (from LKG to Class 10) in Kannappan Nagar area of Coimbatore was held on Sunday amidst utter chaos and allegations that some non-members were being paid to vote.
This was followed by a scuffle between a female police official and the former school head which was recorded and went viral on social media.
The school administration which was initially started with 150 members under the rules of the Association now has only 27 permanent members with a life subscription, amidst many members leaving. At the school administration election, some members of the Board alleged that some non-members were being paid to vote. Following this, the Rathinapuri police intervened to provide security and initiate peace talks.

Following the heated argument, the Assistant Inspector grabbed Chandrasekhar's shirt to pull him outside, and Chandrasekhar immediately tapped the Assistant Inspector's hand away which caused further furore at the spot. Police officials had to intervene and escort Chandrasekhar out to appease him. Following this, the election was called off and those present were disbanded.
