Pasu Madam and Cow Protection is not Dravidian Model; TN govt should release Muslim prisoners - TMMK Deputy General Secretary Tambaram Yakoob in Coimbatore!

DMK rule in Tamil Nadu has completed one year. And the people have welcomed the Dravidian model of rule. Our long-standing demand for the release of Muslim prisoners who have served for more than 20 years has not been accomplished.

Coimbatore: The membership drive of the Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazagham was held at the party office in Kottaimedu, Coimbatore. The party's deputy state general secretary Tambaram Yakoob, who was present, spoke to reporters.

He then said, “DMK rule in Tamil Nadu has completed one year. And the people have welcomed the Dravidian model of rule. TMMK also appreciates. At the same time it is regrettable that there were no announcements for Islamists in the minority grant request held in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.

Our long-standing demand for the release of Muslim prisoners who have served more than 20 years, no action has been taken so far, and the Athi Narayanan Commission set up for this purpose has been consistently delayed.

As the Tamil Nadu government obtained parole for the release of 7 Tamils arrested in the Rajiv murder case, the Tamil Nadu government should also grant parole to Muslim political prisoners and they should take action so that they come on parole without any conditions. Tamil Nadu Hindu Charities Minister Sekarbabu has said that Rs. 20 crore has been allocated for Pasu Madam.

As for this announcement, this is going to serve cow protectors who are actually terrorists. There is nothing called Cow protection in Dravidian model. Beef biryani was not allowed at the Ambur biryani festival and the event was canceled after protests erupted.

These are not the happenings in Uttar Pradesh or Gujarat and the BJP is not ruling and he said there was no need for such a ban and the Tamil Nadu government should intervene and allow all types of biryani.

Responding to the governor's comment on the PFI, he said that the governor should only look at his work. Just like Arignar Anna said, the goat's beard and the governor of the state were unnecessary.

Roadside vendors in Coimbatore TK Market have been affected and the livelihoods of 88 traders is in jeopardy by not giving priority to them. The Supreme Court has said that if they are removed from the area they should be given alternative location and removed. Therefore, the government should take appropriate action, he said.
