We have been doing various assistance on behalf of our company under the Corporate Social Responsibility Program.
We have already donated Rs.25 lakhs to help the noble cause of the Idhayangal Trust. As they continue to do their best, we have now again provided financial assistance of Rs.25 lakhs to help many more poor children get medical help.
Idhayangal Trust‘ President and Diabetes Specialist, Dr. Krishnan Swaminathan, said:-
Diabetes can be classified into two types, 'type 1' and 'type 2'. Type 2 diabetes is more common in people. 'Type 1' diabetes is a very dangerous disease.
Children between the ages of 1 and 14 are the most affected. Frequent urination, fatigue, poor eyesight, and excessive hunger are some of the symptoms of this disease. Failure to diagnose and treat the disease early can lead to what can be called a 'diabetic coma' and death.
Children with this type of diabetes need to take insulin and medications throughout their lives.
I have started and run the Idhayangal Trust with the aim of providing free medical care to children from poor families affected and affected by this disease.
On behalf of our trust, we continue to provide insulin and medicines to poor children affected by this disease in all parts of Tamil Nadu.
The first phase of 'Repco Home Finance' provided Rs. 25 lakhs so that it was able to provide medical aid to 100 children. More than 50 children will be provided with various medical aids, including insulin, with the financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh which they have now re-provided.
We are going to provide sophisticated and expensive insulin pump for five children.
On behalf of the Hearts Foundation team and the beneficiaries, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Repco Home Finance for overseeing and authorizing our work.
