Tirupur: Kesavan, who hails from Rakkiyapalayam in the Tirupur Kangayam Road, went to dine with his family this afternoon at the Mayura Hotel, a popular non-vegetarian restaurant located in Tirupur Kumaran Road.
He was shocked to find cockroaches in the sambar they purchased. The shop owner allegedly did not give proper answers when asked about this.
Kesavan was stupefied and immediately alerted the Food Safety Authorities on this matter. Following this, the food safety authorities arrived at the scene for a thorough inspection and took away samples of the cockroach-infested sambar for further analysis.
The authorities informed that appropriate action will be taken post the analysis of the said sambar.
Furthermore, they are investigating the store owner and the employees who work there with regard to this issue.
