Coimbatore real estate businessman brutally murdered by his business associates

There he was brutally stabbed to death by Rajan and Muthukumar. While the two were arrested by the Thudiyalur police in the course of this case, the district Superintendent of Police Badrinarayanan recommended that they arrest Rajan under the Tamil Nadu Goondas Act.


Coimbatore: Ponnuchamy is a real-estate magnate who hails from Saravanampatti, Coimbatore.

Along with him, MG Rajan and Muthukumar were both involved in the real estate business. Ponnuchamy had taken a loan of Rs.50 lakh from Rajan for business purposes a few years ago. They asked him to pay back a sum of Rs.3 crore with interest.

A dispute arose between them because the repayment of the said amount got delayed. Following this, the duo called him saying that someone had come to buy the land owned by Ponnuchamy near Thudiyalur. Ponnuchamy, who had arrived was sitting there at the time.



There he was brutally stabbed to death by Rajan and Muthukumar. While the two were arrested by the Thudiyalur police in the course of this case, the district Superintendent of Police Badrinarayanan recommended that they arrest Rajan under the Tamil Nadu Goondas Act.

Following this, District Collector G.S. Sameeran ordered the arrest of Rajan under the Tamil Nadu Goondas Act. A copy of the same was given to Rajan in jail.
