Husband arrested for stabbing wife in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: Edward John (49) hails from the TVS Nagar area of Coimbatore. His wife is Grace Puella (33). He is married and has a daughter.

Edward John is addicted to alcohol, he seems to have quit his job and stays at home. Grace Puella’s sister’s wedding took place on the 6th of this month at the CSI Church in Coimbatore. During this event, Grace Puella took a selfie with one of her cousins. Her husband, Edward, who saw this, was enraged and instigated a dispute.

Following this, upset by her husband’s behavior, the next day Grace Puella went to her sister's house in Idayarpalayam with her daughter and returned home for the night.

Following this, Grace Puella called her mother Tamilchelvi on her cell phone and informed her about the crisis at hand. Tamilchelvi then rushed the two to a nearby private hospital. Tamilchelvi lodged a complaint on Edward John with the Thudiyalur police.

The police, who filed a case based on the complaint, arrested Edward John, produced him in court, and remanded him in custody.
