At that time, it seems that 18 people, including Albert Benjamin, who went to the Pollachi Aliyar Dam, were bathing near the river bridge of the dam. At that time, Hariharan from Chrompet, Chennai suddenly went to a place where there was a lot of water.
He quickly submerged in water. Seeing this, Albert Benjamin and the public jumped into the water and rescued Hariharan and immediately sent him to Pollachi Government Hospital for treatment. But doctors who examined him there said he had died on the way to the hospital.
Aliyar police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
