The first meeting of the North Zone was held on Thursday, 28th April, led by Mayor kalpana and the North Zone President, Kathirvel, while presenting his report, stated that contractors will be appointed to maintain parks in the North Zone
Coimbatore: The North Zone President Kathirvel has stated that contractors will be appointed for the maintenance of parks in the zone.
The first meeting of the North Zone of Coimbatore Corporation was held Thursday, 28th April, under the chairmanship of Coimbatore Corporation Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar. The North Zone President Kathirvel after the issues in the wards were presented with, addressed the meeting. Kathirvel assured that all the issues shall be taken notice of and necessary actions will be initiated.
"The demands that need immediate address shall be completed within 5-7 days and the rest within two months.", he said.He also said that the government officials should not carry out any work without consulting the councillors. He urged the councillors to take strict action as there is a tax arrear.
"We need to be serious about creating awareness among the people about garbage collection," he said, adding that the representatives should strive in creating a plastic free corporation. Stating that the public are not using the ongoing medical camp in the north zone area properly, he mentioned that contractors will be appointed to carry out the maintenance work of the park within the north zone and action has been taken for the project roads.
He said that the Corporation officials should be utilised for their respective tasks and they should be consulted about the works and the work should be completed at the earliest. Importantly, he asked the corporation officials to complete the work after getting the permission of councillors of the north zone.
