The Minister for Commercial Taxes and Registration P. Moorthy has announced that sub-registrar offices in Tamil Nadu will now function on Saturdays and a fee of Rs 1,000 will be charged for the same, during the assembly meeting.
Coimbatore: The Sub registrar's offices in the state will from now function on Saturdays as well.
As per a notification issued by the Minister for Commercial Taxes and Registration for Tamil Nadu, P.Moorthy in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, sub-registrar offices in Tamil Nadu will now function on Saturday. This willenable the public to carry out registration works on Saturdays as well.
The facility of online application and correction of registered marriage certificates will be set up at a cost of Rs 50 lakh and a tatkal system will be introduced in the registration department for emergency registration, with Rs 5000 collected as charge.
In the first phase, the scheme will be implemented in 100 sub-registrar offices.
